~~Appleton, WI- Gary G. Arnold, 75, passed away November 14, 2016 at Thedacare Regional Hospital, Appleton. He was born at home in Natural Bridge, NY on September 1, 1941 to Arthur Eugene Arnold and Carrie Arnold (Blow). Gary was a 1959 graduate of Carthage Central High School in Carthage, NY. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1964. He was then employed by Allied Chemical Corporation for 5 years. In 1970 he moved to Neenah, Wisconsin to work at Kimberly Clark for 27 years until he retired. He became very active in Alcoholics Anonymous. At his death he was very proud of not having alcohol for 22+ years. Many of his friends he made were very active in his life. Gary's passion for skiing knew no bounds. The Alps, Canada and every major ski resort in the US were his destination. He also enjoyed traveling on cruise ships to Alaska, the Caribbean and Mexico. Gary will be missed by his nieces Gloria (Bill) Terry, Dawn Tuttle, Carol Arnold, Linda Arnold and Kathy (Roger) Mill, nephews Bruce (Nancy) Smith and Richard Smith. He is also survived by many grandnephews, great-grandnephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first companion of 15 years, Gerald Farner and in October of 2015 his partner of 22 years, Bob Taylor who succumbed to COPD and its complications. Also his parents Arthur and Carrie Arnold, sisters Elizabeth (Richard) Meeker, Gladys (Leo) Nickels, Velma (Marion) Smith and a brother Clifford Arnold. Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sand Hill Cemetery, Natural Bridge. Arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. The family of Gary thanks his AA family for their understanding support as well as Heartland Hospice for their gentle and loving care.
