Boonville – Franklin L. Bouchard, Jr. 64, of Millers Woods Road, husband of Annette, passed away on October 16, 2024 while surrounded by his loving family at Wynn Hospital, Utica.
Franklin was born on May 24, 1960 in Lowville, NY a son of Franklin and Darlene Rocker Bouchard. As a youth he participated in the little league baseball program in Port Leyden. He continued playing baseball for South Lewis Central School until his graduation with the Class of 1979. As an adult, he played on many local town softball teams, where for a time he coached the McManus Hotel team.
On August 20, 1983 Franklin was united in marriage with Annette Wahl at St. Martin’s Church, Port Leyden. The couple settled in Lyons Falls, before moving to the East Road, Port Leyden where they resided for many years. In 2007, they moved to Boonville where they have since lived. Franklin was employed as a finish painter for the Union of Painters and Allied Trades, Local #31, Syracuse, until his retirement in 2014.
He was an avid New York sports fan and enjoyed watching the NY Giants, NY Yankee’s, and NY Knicks. He very much enjoyed fishing and in his younger years also liked trapping.
Besides his wife Annette, he is survived by his children: Anthony Bouchard, Boonville, Billie Jean (Drew) Kinney, Daytona Beach, FL, and Samantha Bouchard, Utica, grandchildren: Alasia, Harmony, Urijah, Clayton, Similla, Aries, Orion, and Taurus. He is also survived by his siblings: Yvette (Edward) Farr, Port Leyden, Yvonne Lallier and companion Steve Ludlow, Sauquoit, his father and mother-in-law: Allen (Mary) Wahl, Port Leyden, brother-in-law Micahel Wahl, Rome, nieces and nephews: Michael (Brittany) Lallier, Sauquoit, Andrew Lallier, Gloversville, Edward Farr, Jr., Amber Farr, and Kiera Carmen, all of Port Leyden, Skylar Wahl and companion Lewis Eskridge, Rome, Maya Wahl, Durhamville, Sydney Wahl and Maddox Wahl, Boonville, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and sister-in-law Rhonda Wahl.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 16, at the Harland J. Hennessey Post #5538, V.F.W. 108 Park Ave. Boonville beginning at 1:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boonville Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box #164, Boonville, New York 13309.
