Florence A. Humble Remsen ï¿" Florence A. Humble, 63, of Dustin Road, widow of Raymond A. Humble, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Memorial Hospital, New Hartford, after a long illness. Florence was born October 24, 1942 in Gloversville, a daughter of Walter and Genevieve Dingman. She grew up in Fonda, later moving to Syracuse, and then to Phoenix. On August 9, 1960 she was united in marriage with Raymond A. Humble in Phoenix. In the late 1970ï¿(TM)s the couple moved to Fuller Road, Remsen, and later to the Dustin Road. Mrs. Humble had been employed at Marcy Psychiatric Center, and for ten years as a Residence Counselor at the Gosling CP Center, Boonville, and also for a short time at the Day Treatment Center. She retired in 2000 due to health reasons. Mr. Humble died April 25, 2004 She is survived by one daughter: Amy and her husband Robert Smith of Alder Creek; two sons: Dana and his wife Melissa Humble of Forestport, and Darren Humble, and fiance, Tara Affourtit, of Alder Creek; and seven grandchildren: Crystal McDougal, Justin Smith, Aaron, Meaghan, Samantha, Johanna and Maria Humble. Her family expresses their sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to the fourth floor nursing staff at St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Memorial Hospital for compassionate and loving care they gave to Florence. The funeral service for Mrs. Humble will be at 2 P.M. on Saturday, at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, with Rev. Paul Credle officiating. Interment will be in the spring in Alder Creek Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Remsen Volunteer Fire Company.
