Forestport- Eva K. Altrock, 78, of Newton St., wife of Edward G., passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, New Hartford. Eva was born in Otter Lake, on January 15, 1943, a daughter of Herman and Dorothy Compo Kessler. She grew up on Kessler Road, Mohawk Hill and received her education at Constableville High School. Later Eva completed her Nursing Degree at BOCES in Lowville. Thereafter, for 15 years resided in Glens Falls, where she was employed as a Registered Nurse at Glens Falls Hospital. She was also employed as a private duty nurse. On September 9, 1995, Eva was married to Edward G. Altrock, in Boonville. After her marriage she resided in Forestport. Eva greatly enjoyed the hobby of quilting and sewing. In addition to her husband, Ed, Eva is survived by her children; Scott and Lisa Flansburg, Boonville, Russell and Kim Flansburg, Judy Howard, all of Glens Falls, Marie Flansburg, Florida, James Flansburg and Dian Beauette, all of Glens Falls a step son, Douglas (Sandy) Altrock, Ilion and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings; Clara and John Cool, St. Johnsville, Ann and Bernie Ettinger, Saratoga Lake, Walt and Nancy Kessler, Lake Lucerne, NY, Sue and David Prevette, NC; her brother-in-law: Bud Altrock, and sisters-in-law: Pauline (Larry) Gormley, Claudia Lehning, and Mary Altrock. She was predeceased by brothers, Albert and Charles. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, January 29, 2021, from 2-4 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville and interment will be in the spring in Port Leyden Cemetery, Port Leyden.
