Mrs. Erma M. (Andrews) Grower, a resident of Jackson Hill Road for many years, the widow of Robert, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2006, at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had resided for a short time. Erma was born on September 20, 1916, on the Andrews Family homestead farm on Echo Lake Road, a daughter of Albert C. and Delia Mae Briggs Andrews. She grew up on Echo Lake Road, attending the rural school on the corner of Potato Hill and Echo Lake Road. On September 26, 1934, Erma was united in marriage to Robert C. Grower in Rome. They lived in Rome a short time before returning to Boonville. She was employed at Raymond Russell Jewelry Store in Boonville, at Blankmanï¿(TM)s 5 & 10 Cent Store both in downtown Boonville, and as a receptionist for Dr. Preston MacDiarmid, Boonville, until 1961. In 1960, she and her husband, Robert purchased the former Floyd Riley farm on Jackson Hill Road where they had since lived for many years Mr. and Mrs. Grower, and their son, Richard operated this farm. Mr. Grower died on May 27, 1988. She was a sixty four year member of the First Baptist Church of Boonville, and a former member of Up & Go Senior Citizens of Forestport, and the Young at Heart Senior Citizens of Boonville. Erma is survived by two sons and daughters in law: Robert C. and Barnette Grower, Huston TX., and summer residents of Boonville, Richard C. and Clara Grower, Boonville, one daughter and son in law; Joyce M. and her husband David Ernst, Boonville, seven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Erma was predeceased by a great granddaughter, Gracie Mae Grower in 2002. Also surviving is one sister; Pearl Johnson, Boonville, and by nieces, nephews, and sisters in law. She was predeceased by two sisters; Ida Forte, and Mildred Duda, and by seven brothers; Howard Andrews, J. Orin Andrews, Frederick Andrews, R. Ernest Andrews, Charles Andrews, Homer Andrews, and Raymond Andrews. Her Funeral will be Thursday at 12 Noon at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Pastor Joe Feller of the First Baptist Church of Boonville will officiate. Interment will be in Boonville Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Boonville, P.O.
