Erin Marie Moxley, 40, of Lyons Falls passed away on December 29th, 2022, after a courageous battle with breast cancer with her daughter, Jennavieve, and dear friend, Patty Allen, by her side. Erin was born July 12, 1982, in Leominster, Mass. to Stanley Dean Moxley and Cynthia Ann (Felshaw) Moxley.
Erin was a military "BRAT” growing up all over the world in Massachusetts, Virginia, Germany, Alabama, Boonville, Constableville and Lyons Falls. Erin Graduated from South Lewis high school in 2000.
Erin worked at several area restaurants and was everyone's favorite server. She then worked for Hand In Hand in Boonville as their very own "baby whisperer” where she was devoted to the children and their education, once Hand In Hand closed, Erin continued to care for children in a private home. Here she continued the dedication and love of caring for children. Once the children were school age, Erin began a career at UCP where she was a champion for the residents. Erin worked tirelessly to advocate for people and to help ensure all were living their best lives. She supported each person's unique dreams and interests and never wavered with that advocacy. Erin's energy was endless and contagious.
Erin always put others before herself, she was a great friend, she was always a phone call away for anyone in need to listen. Erin loved spending time with her longtime partner Shawn, daughter Jennavieve, family, friends, co-workers and animals. Erin was bonkers for Bingo, trivia night, with the girls, a family get together, a day out helping Jenna show horses, rescuing baby kittens, bowling, book club or trying a new restaurant/bar. If Erin was on “Hell’s Kitchen”, she would have won. She was ultimate foodie, making food for her loved ones, that was her love language.
Her daughter Jennavieve Marie- "Mishka" -was the light of her life. She was always so proud of her and loved being a horse show Mom. Making sure Jenna had everything she needed for her happiness was Erin’s first priority. She always supported Jenna's endeavors.
Erin is survived by her daughter Jennavieve Marie Allen, her partner, Shawn Foley and his children and grandchildren, her parents, Dean and Cindy Moxley, her sister, Wendy Moxley and nephews Samual and Owen McPhilmy, best friend, Katie (Felshaw) Healt, and several beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Erin is predeceased by her sister, Colleen (Moxley) Rogers, aka "Aunt Cranberry".
The family would like to thank ALL of the friends and family that supported Erin along the way, Erin was very thankful for her support network. She would always comment on how blessed she felt and couldn't imagine not having these people in her life. The family is also grateful to all the nurses at Hospice and in the ICU at Lewis County General Hospital. Your compassion and caring are sincerely a gift.
