Elnoar F. Patrick

Boonville-Elnoar (Wallace) Fey Patrick, 88, a former long time resident of Merry Hill Road, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, where she had resided since Oct. 2006. A native of the Town of Lee, she was born on October 8, 1919, a daughter of Barclay and Wava Struen Wallace. She grew up in West Branch, and attended twelve years of school at West Leyden Central School. On December 30, 1939, she was united in marriage with Richard J. Fey. Together they operated a dairy farm for many years on the Dorn Road near Boonville. In addition to the operation of their dairy farm, for many years she was employed as a house keeper in the Boonville area, and also a child care giver at her own home. Mr. Fey died on March 4, 1961. On October 9, 1962, Elnoar was united in marriage with Edwin J. Patrick. She and Mr. Patrick owned an operated a restaurant and bar on Rt. 26 in Ava, known as "Pat's." Mr. Patrick died on January 7, 1975. Mrs. Patrick was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Boonville. She greatly loved and enjoyed her family and spending time with family. Her other hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and doing find the word puzzles. Elnoar is survived by three daughters and two sons in law; Theresa Scarborough, Cottonwood, AZ., Wava Grantham and Jack, Palm Bay, Fla., Sandra P. Beasock and Mark, Boonville, two sons and daughters in law; Wallace D. Fey, and Emily, Rome, Michael J. Fey, and Theresa, Mattydale, NY. She was predeceased by a son, William Fey on December 27, 1958. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and three step children: Theresa Goshert and husband Harland, Melbourne, Fla., Ed Patrick, and Gloria, Boonville, and Richard Patrick, and Sharon, Ballston Lake, and by an aunt, Jean Gifford, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. and a sister in law, Margaret Gleasman, Rochester, NY. Elnoar was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Owens, and by three brothers; Courtney, Seymour, and Robert Wallace. Her family wishes to express their deep appreciation and thank you to the entire staff at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent and compassionate care given to Elnoar. Her Funeral will be Friday at 9:15 A.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, and at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church, Boonville, where Rev. Fr. Donald H. Karlen, pastor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boonville. Calling hours are Thursday 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
