Constableville- Eleanor Marie (Snyder) Weiler, 89, of Fish Creek Road, widow of Clayton G., passed away, after a brief illness, on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, New Hartford. A native and life resident of Constableville, Eleanor was born on October 14, 1931, a daughter of Herman LeRoy and Marion Thayer Snyder. She grew up on West St. in Constableville and received her education at Constableville High School. Later she was employed as a chamber maid at Hotel Parquet, Constableville and as a sewing machine operator at Port Leyden Knitting Mill. Eleanor's greatest focus and joy in life came from being a homemaker, wife and mother to her children. On October 14, 1950 Eleanor was united in marriage with Clayton G. Weiler at St. Mary's Church, Constableville. For a time they lived on the Weiler Farm at Fish Creek, before moving to her present home in 1959. Mr. Weiler, an Army veteran of WWII, and retiree of Still Saw Mill, Ava, passed away on October 28, 2011. Eleanor was a member of St. Mary's Church, Constableville. She greatly enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends, watching cooking shows on TV and reading. Eleanor is survived by two daughters and a son in law, Linda (Paul) Dailey and Sarah Weiler, all of Constableville; three grandsons, Craig (Amy) Dailey, Brian Dailey and Justin Weiler; two great grandchildren, Lucas and his wife, Meghan and Jenna and one sister, Bernice Skorupa, Lyons Falls. She was predeceased by brothers, Hubert Snyder, William Snyder and Lester Snyder and by sisters, June Grenicko and Charlotte Hopseker. Also surviving are two sisters in law; Adeline Croniser and Pearl Waldron and one brother and sister in law, George (Shirley) Weiler. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 10, 2021, at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Constableville, NY. Arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
