Conesus- Eleanor (Edwards) Burdick, 86, of East Swamp Road, Conesus, (Livingston County, NY) a former resident of Millers Woods Road, near Forestport, widow of Philip J., passed away after a brief illness at Thompson Hospital, in Canandaigua, NY, on Thursday, June 28, 2012. Eleanor was born in the Town of Trenton, on July 28, 1925, a daughter of David and Alberta Arthur Edwards. She grew up in the Boonville and Forestport area, graduating from Remsen High School with the Class of 1942. On July 19, 1947, she was united in marriage with Philip J. Burdick at the Boonville Methodist Church. After that they lived for many years on Millers Woods Road. Mr. Burdick, a WWII Veteran, and construction foreman for Oneida Co. Highway Department, died on October 19, 1979. In 1987, Mrs. Burdick moved to Rochester, and then to Lima, before making her home with her son and daughter in law, Jeffrey and Dianna Burdick in Conesus. Her greatest joy in life was her caring for and spending time with her family. Mrs. Burdick is survived by one son, Jeffrey and daughter in law, Dianna, Conesus, one daughter Tamara Burdick and Dennis Wischman, Albany; four grandchildren, Miranda Cerone, and husband Richard, Peter Lacey and wife, Christine, Michael Lacey and LeeAnn New, Heather Henry and husband, Jason, twelve great grandchildren, Jessica, Joelle, Morgan, Megan, Taylor, Jeffrey, Alex, Cathy, Katie, DJ, Phillip and Clara; one sister, Carole Haley, Columbus, OH; two brothers, David Edwards Utica, and Robert Edwards Eustis, Fla, she was predeceased by a sister Beverly Hulett. Private graveside services were held on Monday, July 2, at Olden Barneveld Cemetery, Town of Trenton. There were no calling hours.
