Edward W. 'Bowty' Sullivan

Constableville - Edward W. "Bowdy" Sullivan, 61, of West Road passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville after a long illness. He was born in Talcottville on December 12, 1948, a son of Edward Finton and Verna M. (Dale) Sullivan. Edward grew up in Talcottville and graduated from Boonville High School. He was employed as an auto mechanic at the former Poppleton Chevrolet dealership in Boonville before working as a paper machine operator at Georgia Pacific Paper Co. in Lyons Falls. He retired in 1995 due to illness after twenty-seven years of employment. Mr. Sullivan was a member of St. Mary's Church in Constableville, the Constableville Fire Department, the North American Hunting Club and a lifetime member of the NRA. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four wheeling and gardening. He spent much time living at the Sullivan family camp in Highmarket. In addition to his mother, Verna, of Constableville, Ed is survived by three brothers and a sister-in-law, Mike and Katrina, Chris and Mark, all of Constableville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Bill Warfel of Scottsville, VA and Betsy and Randy Baker of Binghamton; eleven nieces and nephews; and four grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his father, Edward, on September 21, 2007. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Constableville, where the Reverend Lawrence Marullo, pastor will officiate. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Constableville. Calling hours are Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville.
