Edward Paluck

Boonville - Edward Paluck, 77, of Thayer Hill Road, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2010 at Faxton-St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Healthcare, New Hartford after a long illness. He was born on the Paluck family farm on the Crofoot Hill Road near Constableville on June 17, 1932, a son of Anthony and Emily Paluck. He received his education at Constableville High School and was employed on local farms. Mr. Paluck served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954 during the Korean Conflict. He began his tour in South Carolina, later serving near Philadelphia, PA as a Clerk and in the intelligence division as a Corporal. On February 22, 1953, Edward was united in marriage with Mary Hoch in South Carolina. This was a loving union lasting 57 years. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, the couple settled in the Constableville area. Mr. Paluck was employed at Revere Copper & Brass Co. of Rome for ten years before joining the Rome Carpenters Local Union, where he was employed in building construction until becoming disabled. Ed was a member of the Abundant Life Fellowship Church, Boonville, Charles J. Love Post American Legion, Boonville and the NRA. He greatly enjoyed playing cards, hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by four children, Edward and his wife, Marilyn of Constableville, Rick of Albany, Judy Ingersoll and her husband, Mack of Boonville, and Michael and Kim of Albany; six grandchildren, Priscilla, Nicole, Lisa, Lindsey, Alex, and Mac; three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Czajka of Syracuse, Estella Kowalik of Otter Lake, and Helen Wood of CT; a brother, Isadore of Constableville. He was predeceased by a sister, Rose Karpinski, and by a brother, Joe. His funeral will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville, where Pastor Daniel Tabolt of the Abundant Life Fellowship Church will officiate. Interment with military honors from Charles J. Love Post American Legion, Harland J. Hennessey Post VFW, and the Tun Tavern Marine Corps League, all of Boonville, will follow at St. Patrickï¿(TM)s Cemetery in Constableville. Visitation is Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
