Boonville- Earl J. Derouchie, 69, a longtime resident of the Gosling IRA, North Post St. Boonville, and more recently a resident of Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at St. Lukes Memorial Hospital, New Hartford. Earl was born in Massena, NY, on July 12, 1949, a son of Medos and Fleurette Hamelin Derouchie. He grew up in Bombay, receiving his education at Fort Covington High School. Earl greatly enjoyed his time spent at the Gosling IRA Facility. He found great joy in bringing sunshine to the staff and residents. Earl was of the Catholic Faith; while growing up he attended St. Patricks Church, Hogansburg. He is survived by three sisters, Mary Ann Belile, Massena, Rita Keith, Mooresville, NC and Lucille M. Trimmer, Massena; one brother, George Derouchie, Oswego, NY, and by his extended family of fellow residents and staff at the IRA facility and daycare center in Boonville. A Funeral Service will be Thursday at 3:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where calling hours will be 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Massena.
