Forestport- Earl D. Bauder, 82, North Lake Road, husband of Bonnie, passed away after a short illness, on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at St. Elizabeths Medical Center, Utica. He was born in Utica, on February 13, 1936, a son of Earl D. and Christine Hassler Bauder. Earl grew up in Utica, where he graduated from Utica Free Academy, later earning an associates degree. He served his country in the US Army. For fourteen years he was employed at General Electric of Utica. On June 6, 1970, Earl was united in marriage with Bonnie Palen, at St. Pauls Church, Whitesboro. Thereafter the couple settled on North Lake Road, Forestport. In 1980, Bonnie and Earl purchased the General Store at Forestport Station; for twenty six years the couple operated this store which was known as Bonnies Country Store. Earl was a member of Liberty Masonic Lodge, Utica, a member of The Yahnundasis Masonic Lodge and the Ziyara Shriners of Utica. He enjoyed fishing, boating and doing crossword puzzles. In addition to his wife, Bonnie, Forestport, Earl is survived by two daughters, Tina Olds, Forestport and Kristen Bauder, Lancaster, NY; grandchildren, Brittany Olds, Keri Thormann, Angelina S. Olds and Gabriella A. Olds; one great granddaughter, Amelia Thormann; one sister, Rev. Jean Zeidler, Menifee, CA and special brothers in law, Harry Palen, Lawrence Palen and Gerald Palen. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with interment in Beechwood Cemetery, Forestport. Calling hours are Monday 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Boonville-Uriel Masonic Lodge # 165, F & A.M. will meet in a group at the funeral home for Masonic Services on Monday, at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Beechwood Cemetery, C/O Mrs. Elizabeth Winters 11765 North Lake Road, Forestport, NY 13338.
