Dirk Alston Case died unexpectedly on January 17, 2024.
How do you encapsulate a life into paragraphs?
Dirk was 4 years old in the early 70s when his family moved from NJ to West Leyden, NY. One of five kids, he grew up at the family restaurant, doing chores, exploring the outdoors, and playing sports at school.
He was one of the first to fall in love with D&D and became an avid gamer. It never waned. Another passion that started in school was singing, and likewise it never stopped.
Dirk earned a black belt in Tai Kwan Do and taught it for several years alongside his father.
Dirk chose not to pursue his love of singing as a career, but never failed to perform at family events or share a band's available mic.
Fresh out of highschool, Dirk joined the US Air Force for several years. Upon his return home, he built up his work experience with several employers before taking his skills to Owl Wire as a machinist extraordinaire.
Dirk was predeceased by his father, Charlie, and by all of his grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Irene, and his siblings - Nona, Guy, Tara and Dean, as well as a nephew and nieces,- Nicole, Jordan, Amber, Keagen, Kennedy, and Kiersten. Dirk leaves with us his bestest buddy Moose, to whom his dedication knew no bounds.
So the best way to encapsulate a life is to say...
