Diane J. Hubbard

Vernon Center- Diane J. (Goodhines) Hubbard, 71, of Simmons Road, passed away at her residence, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, after a long illness, while surrounded by the loving care of her husband, Michael and hospice.


Diane was born in Constableville, on September 11, 1951, a daughter of Leo F. and Eleanor Genther Goodhines. She grew up on Stinebrickner Road, near West Leyden, receiving her education at West Leyden Central School. On July 5, 1969, Diane was married to William W. Kwasniewski, at St. Mary’s Church, West Leyden. Afterwards the couple lived on Harris Road, Lee Center, for nine years, until the marriage ended in 1978.


On May 3, 1986, Diane married Michael D. Hubbard, in Vernon Center, afterwards the couple resided in Florida for ten years, before returning to New York state.


For several years Diane was a self-employed house keeper.


She possessed a “green thumb,” giving the touch of a miracle to house plants of all kinds, which extended to gardening and raising flowers.


Her faith in God was strong and she loved Jesus.


Diane was predeceased by her father and mother.


She is survived by her husband, Michael D. Hubbard; one daughter and son in law, Tracy (Darren) Lallier, Boonville; one son and daughter in law, Christopher (Lynn) Kwasniewski, Pompey, NY; grandchildren, Monica, Bethany and Audrey Lallier, Jayden and Alexis Kwasniewski; four sisters, Carol Owens, Canastota, Gail Ritter, West Leyden, Darlene Moshier, Boonville, Patricia Hunter, Boonville; one brother, Robert Goodhines, Virginia and several aunts, uncles and cousins.


Relatives and friends are invited to visitation hours on Monday, November 7, from 1:00 P.M. until 3:30 P.M., at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, and then to a Memorial Service beginning at 4:00 P.M., also on Monday, at Abundant Life Fellowship Church, State Rt. 12, south, Boonville. Interment will be private in St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Leyden. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Pallative Care, Inc. 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413, or to a charity of your choice.
