Desirae L. Failing

Constableville-Desirae Lynn Failing, age 26, of James St., daughter of Richard E. and Mary R. Kraeger Failing, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2006, as a result of an automobile accident which occurred near Constableville. Desirae was born in Rome, on February 6, 1980. She grew up in Constableville, where she attended elementary school. She graduated from South Lewis Senior High School with the Class of 1998. While in high school she was on the girlï¿(TM)s swim team, a member of the Senior High School Chorus, and she participated in the school musical productions. During the summers while in high school she was employed at Enchanted Forest of Old Forge, and while in college, she was employed with her parents in the operation of the Hotel Parquet of Constableville. After her high school education, Desirae attended SUNY Cobleskill College, and then SUNY Oneonta where she majored in early childhood education and family services. At the present time she was employed at Lewis Co. Head Start of Lowville, as a Special Needs Assistant at the Lyons Falls site. She was also currently employed at Lewis Co. General Hospital, Lowville, in the Nutritional Services Department. Desirae found great joy and love for the children that she worked with at Head Start. She greatly loved her family, and spending time with her cherished family and friends. She was very fond of her dog "Phoebe." In addition to her parents, Richard, and Mary Failing, of Constableville, Desirae is survived by two sisters; Carrie and husband John Millard, Constableville, Jill S. Failing, at home, her paternal grandparents, Richard and Genevieve Failing, Talcottville, her maternal grandparents, Irving and Josephine Kraeger, Constableville, her God Parents; Michael Kraeger, Constableville, and Sally Black, Turin, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Maryï¿(TM)s Church, Constableville, with Rev. Lawrence Marullo, as celebrant. Interment arrangements are incomplete. Calling hours are Monday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Constableville Fire Company Ambulance Fund.
