Forestport- Debra A. (McDonald) Hurley, 63, of Meekerville Road, wife of Patrick, passed away peacefully at her residence, on Sunday, November 22, 2020. Affectionately known as Deb, she was born in Utica, on September 25, 1957, a daughter of Raymond Harold and Loretta Jane Sinnott McDonald. She grew up in the Remsen area and graduated from Remsen Central School, with the Class of 1976. Thereafter Deb was employed as a secretary for several years at Ed Blask Ford Dealership, Utica, before employment as a Teacher's Aide at Head Start of Rome, retiring from the Boonville Head Start. Deb was united in marriage with Patrick T. Hurley, in Remsen, on June 2, 1990. Mrs. Hurley was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Forestport and a longtime member of Forestport Fire Fighters Ladies Auxiliary. For many years Deb enjoyed a great interest in genealogy and over the years she traced the members of the McDonald and Sinnott families to Ireland, beginning in the 1850's, continuing with her family origins in the United States. In addition to her husband, Pat, she is survived by daughters, Jennifer and Jessica Hurley, Forestport; one sister, Nadine Corrigan, Remsen and by her canine friend, "Sasha." Deb was predeceased by a sister, Denise and her parents, Raymond and Loretta McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Matthew Lyons, on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick's Church, Forestport, with interment to follow in Beechwood Cemetery, Forestport. Calling hours are Tuesday 3-5 & 6-8 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
