Boonville- David K. Pfendler, 60, of Main St. passed away suddenly, while at work, in Lowville, on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Affectionately known as "Skidder," David was born in Constableville, on December 15, 1955, a son of Bernard and Blanche Denslow Pfendler. A life resident of Boonville, he grew up on Jackson Hill Road and received his education at Adirondack Central School, graduating with the Class of 1975. Thereafter David was employed for 17 years at Thims Construction Co. Rome, followed by 17 years of employment at Ballie Lumber Co. Boonville; at the present time he was employed in the Sanitation Department of Kraft-Heinz Food Co. of Lowville. Skidder greatly enjoyed snowmobiling and long rides on the snowmobile trail systems, hunting and fishing, four wheeling and listening to classic rock and roll music. He is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, Seth (Mackenzie) Pfendler, Ryan Pfendler; his mother, Blanche; one brother and sister in law, Barry (Lori) Pfendler; one sister Tracy Liechty and her companion, Andy Manning, all of Boonville. He was predeceased by his father, Bernard Pfendler, on November 14, 2002. Also surviving are three nephews, Jonathan (Karen) Rauscher, Cazenovia, Drew Pfendler and Matt Pfendler, both of Boonville. His funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with interment to follow in Boonville Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday 10 A.M. until the funeral at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Schuyler St. Boonville, NY 13309.
