Daniel J. Williams, 65, of Bell Iles Place, husband of Jean, a former owner of Boonville Bowl-O-Rama, Inc., passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2007 at St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Memorial Hospital, New Hartford, after a brief illness. A native and life long resident of Boonville, he was born on October 11, 1942, a son of George G. and Doris L. Talcott Williams. Dan graduated from Boonville Central School with the Class of 1960, and then began his long association with the operation of the Boonville Bowl-O-Rama. In 1981, in partnership with Mickey Simpson of Boonville, he purchased the bowling alley, becoming the sole owner in 1990. In January of 1994, due to heavy snow, the bowling alley collapsed, and then Mr. Williams built a new bowling facility at the same location, opening the new bowling alley in December, 1994. He retired in December, 2005. On July 25, 1970, Dan was united in marriage with Jean Wittwer at the Dutch Reformed Church of West Leyden. For many years he bowled on the Wednesday Night Late League, and the Sonny Evans Classic League. During his bowling career he bowled a perfect 300 score game. In addition to bowling he greatly enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and helping his children with projects at their homes. Mr. Williams was a member of Boonville Elks Lodge # 2158. In addition to his wife, Jean, he is survived by one daughter, Stacy A. Pearson, and husband, Mike, Apex, N.C., one son Greg D. Williams, and his significant other, Mackenzie Earl, Boonville, three grandsons that were the pride of his life: Owen and Aiden Pearson, and Evan Williams, one sister and brother in law; Jayne and Joseph Muha, one brother and sister in law; Leonard G. Williams and Karen, one aunt, Erma Seymour, all of Boonville, and nieces and nephews. His Funeral will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Rev. William A. Mudge, pastor of the Boonville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Boonville Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 2-4 & 6-9 P.M. at the funeral home, where members of Boonville Elks Lodge # 2158, will meet at 7:30 P.M. for ritualistic services.
