Cynthia V. Booth

Boonville- Cynthia V. (Gokey) Booth, 68, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, August 20, 2018. Cynthia was born in Utica, on August 29, 1949, a daughter of Lawrence J. and Pauline Chambrone Gokey. She received her education at Utica Free Academy, later earning her GED. Cynthia attended Utica School of Beauty Culture and owned and operated The Essence of Beauty Shop in Utica. Mrs. Booth attended MVCC, earning a degree in Real Estate, before earning her real estate license in New York State. For many years she owned and operated Best Choice Realty Company, of New York. She is survived by her sister Lorraine and her husband, Jerry Williams; nieces, Doreen Williams Garrett and husband, Jody Garrett, Denise Williams Miller and husband, Glenn Miller; nephews, Lawrence Williams and wife Sommer, Nicholas Williams and wife, Brittany and Nick Fluty and nineteen great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edmund Booth, her father, Lawrence Gokey and mother, Pauline Chambrone Gokey, a sister, Marie Fluty Pfeffer and a brother George Fluty. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica, at the convenience of the family.
