Remsen/Boonville- Craig M. Carnright, 30, formerly of Old State Rt. 12, son of Mickey D. and Brenda L. Hoffman Carnright, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center Utica, from complications from an accident that happened many years ago. For the past several years Craig was a resident at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville. He was born in Utica, on July 3, 1980, and grew up on the Thompson Road, near Holland Patent. Craig attended school in Holland Patent, and studied mechanics and welding at B.O.C.E.S. After that he was employed on area dairy farms, including the Marks Farm, near Lowville. Craig greatly enjoyed working on automobile engines; if there was a motor or engine involved, he could fix or restore the engine to a good running condition. He also enjoyed NASCAR, and working at his computer. At the time of his death, he was studying to obtain his GED. He was of the catholic faith, and in the past he had attended St. Ann's Church, Hinckley, with his parents. In addition to his parents, Mickey and Brenda, of Remsen, who were very devoted to his care and wellbeing, Craig is survived by one son, Ty Henry Postal, Remsen, two brothers, Christopher D. Earlville, and Cory R. Remsen; his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Marilyn Hoffman, Remsen, one very special nephew, Alexander Carnright, and several special aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his "adoptive parents," Joe and Nancy Earl, of Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville. Craig is also survived by a very special and loving friend Sue Cooper. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Millard and Mabel Carnright. Craig touched everyone's heart, and was loved by all. His family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to the nursing staff at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, I.C.U. and at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation, Center, Boonville. His Funeral Services are Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with a spring interment in Fairchild Cemetery, Remsen. Visitation is Saturday 1-4 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 232 Academy St. Boonville.
