Connie L. Carpenter

Our mother Connie Lou Carpenter went to heaven on Sunday March 5, 2023, she was 84 years old.

Connie was born on December 15, 1938 the daughter of Maynard and Erma Talcott Seymour. She grew up on Feeder St. in Boonville graduating from Boonville High School Class of 1956. Following graduation she worked at the Ben Franklin Store in Boonville, she later worked for the Department of Defense at Griffiss Air Base as an account technician. Connie relocated to Amsterdam to be closer to her children and grandchildren in 1991 working for Mangino Pontiac-Buick in Ballston Spa. She later retired in 2003 moving back to Rome. She most recently lived at The Sentinel Senior Assisted Living in Amsterdam.

Connie is survived by her children James A. Carpenter Rome, Timothy (Esther) Carpenter Gloversville, Shari L. (Jim) Podolec Amsterdam and Christopher R. Carpenter Amsterdam. Connie was predeceased by an infant daughter Penny L. Carpenter in 1959 and a son Thomas M. Carpenter in 2021. Connie loved her 10 grandchildren, Timothy Carpenter, Larissa Carpenter, Jessica Carpenter, Andrew Carpenter, John Carpenter, Michael Carpenter, Ashlee Podolec, Shannon Podolec, Joshua Podolec and Emmalee Carpenter, she also had 10 great grandchildren that she loved very much. Connie is survived by her sisters Suzanne (Richard) Platt Westernville, Linda (George Farwell) Glover Utica and Nancy (David) Damago Monica Pa., a brother Thomas Seymour Lowville and is predeceased by her brother Terry (Beatrice) Seymour. Connie is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Connie’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the center of her entire life, she will be sadly missed and she is deeply loved.

Calling hours will be held at the Trainor Funeral Home 143 Schuyler St., Boonville NY on Thursday March 9th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM with a funeral service at 3:00PM.
