Boonville - Colleen A. Bedore, 68, a lifelong resident of Boonville, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, while surrounded by her loving family. Colleen was born on August 7, 1952 at the Sunset Maternity Home, Constableville a daughter of the late Leo F. and Jean Grenier Murphy. She grew up in Boonville, where she received her education, graduating with the Class of 1970 from Boonville Central School. Colleen was employed as a receptionist for Dr. Vella's dental practice and also Shoemaker's Dry Cleaners, both of Boonville. Colleen was married to Glenn J. Bedore, later the couple was divorced. Colleen was known for her vast array of knowledge and trivia. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches but Jeopardy was her forte. She could also let you know the name of that song and who the artist was, she loved all music. Time spent with her children and grandchildren is what Colleen cherished. Her grandchildren will carry fond memories of all of the board and card games played with her. Colleen had an unbreakable bond and loyalty to her family and friends. She is survived by her children: Jennifer L. Bedore (James W. Lint, Jr.) Rome, Nicole L. (James M.) Podkowka, Boonville, Jeffrey S. (Kayla M.) Kelly, Boonville; Grandchildren: Riley and Madison Podkowka, Nicolas R. Ceravolo, Isabella and Grace Kelly; her sisters whom Colleen dearly loved and enjoyed visiting with: Anita (Frank) Karpinski, Therese (Ken) Stabb, all of Boonville, Cathleen (David) Ward, Constableville, Sue (James) Snyder, Boonville; beloved nieces and nephews who she adored: Brian (Vicky) Karpinski, Matthew (Tina) Ward, Stacey (Adam) Swift, Ashley (Jason) Stash, Megan Murphy, Joseph Snyder (Jennifer), David (Brooke) Murphy, and James (Cassandra) Murphy, several great nieces and nephews; a special Uncle and Aunt Aubrey (Irene) Grenier and their sons who held a very special place in Colleens heart. She was predeceased by brothers: Dennis and Timothy Murphy, an infant sister Maureen Murphy, and by her granddaughter Abigail Kelly. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 10, at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Constableville, with Rev. Lawrence Marullo officiating. Interment will follow in Boonville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3-8 pm at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. All attendees of services must adhere to all current health department regulations. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 120 Lomond Court, Utica, New York 13502.
