Clifford L. White

Boonville- Clifford (Cliff) L. White, 68, of Spencer Road, husband of Patricia (Patty), passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on November 6, 2016. Cliff was born on June 4, 1948, the son of Ralph and Rose Lorenz White. He was raised on his family's farm outside of Middletown, NY, and was a graduate of Valley Central High School in Montgomery. In 1968, Cliff joined the United States Army. While completing a tour in Vietnam in 1969, he sustained a combat-related injury and continued to serve until he was honorably discharged at Fort Eustis, VA. He then returned to Middletown. On December 21, 1985 Cliff was united in marriage with Patty Miller. Cliff was employed for many years through I.B.E.W. Local Union #363 in Harriman, NY as an electrician in building construction. Together with his wife, he also owned and operated C.W.'s Gaynor Mansion, a restaurant in Middletown. In 2000, he and Patty purchased a home on Spencer Road in the Town of Leyden, to which they retired in 2010. Cliff was an avid outdoorsman, whether it was tending his flower and vegetable gardens, bird watching, or traversing Tug Hill on his snowmobile or ATV. He was President of the High Market Wheelers ATV Club from 2011-2016 and was instrumental in the development of the off-road trail system throughout the Town of West Turin. Cliff was also a member of the American Legion, New York State V.F.W., a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Association, and a member of the Boonville Elks Lodge. Besides his wife, Patty, he is survived by his mother Rose White, a brother Alan (Lynn) White, both of Middletown, a brother Jeffery White, Sussex, NJ, three nieces, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Ralph, in 2015. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Calling hours will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Constableville Volunteer Fire Dept. P.O.
