Cleve Allen Broadbent

Frankfort - Cleve Allen Broadbent, 86, of State Route 5, husband of Jacqueline, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Heritage Healthcare Facility, Utica, following a brief illness. Cleve was born in the Town of Steuben on May 21, 1933 a son of Laurence and Grace Vicks Broadbent. He grew up in Steuben and was a graduate of Remsen Central School, with the Class of 1952. For a time he was employed with Remington Arms, before working for Poppleton Chevy Olds, Boonville. Cleve was united in marriage with Lorraine Beagle on November 7, 1953. The couple settled in Boonville before returning to Remsen. Mrs. Broadbent passed away on November 22, 1972. Cleve then began a brilliant 40 plus year career as a salesman of industrial supplies, most of which was for the Drummond America Co., of Chicago, Illinois. On April 8, 1989, Cleve married Jacqueline Kavalla. Cleve was a longtime member of the Trenton Road Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. Besides his wife Jacqueline, Cleve is survived by his children: Darlene Broadbent, Mark (Janice) Broadbent, Scott Broadbent, Lee (Stephanie) Broadbent, Chris (Crystal) Broadbent, and Sonia (Kevin) McSweeney, his 15 grandchildren: Jacquelyne, Melissa, Steven, Lauren, Rebecca, Crystal, Tiffany, Renee, Shawn, Eric, Ashley, Jessica, Julia, Zachary, and Sydney, many great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and sisters: Nancy (Ross) Gibilaro, and Shannon (Ron) Plumley. He was predeceased by his brother Brian Broadbent. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Trenton Road Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 585 Trenton Road, Utica, NY 13502. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to his family at the Kingdom Hall.
