Clarence M. 'Butch' Cutter

Constableville- Clarence W. "Butch" Cutter, Jr, 72, of North Main St, affectionately known as "Butch" passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Lewis County Extended Care Facility, after a long illness. A native and life resident of Constableville, Butch was born on January 31, 1941, a son of Clarence M. and Florence Robitaille Cutter, Sr. He received his education in Constableville; after that he was employed for area dairy farms, and during the winter as a lift operator at Snow Ridge Ski Area in Turin. Later he was employed at AMF of Lowville, and at Kwasniewski Lumber Co. of West Leyden, before his employment for 16 years with the Town of West Turin Highway Department as a truck driver. Mr. Cutter was a member of St. Mary's Church, Constableville, and a member of the Constableville Fire Co. for over 36 years, where he had served as Fire Police Captain. He was also a member of Boonville Elks Lodge # 2158, since 1979 and the Lewis Co. and New York State Fire Police Associations and the Adirondack Muzzle Loaders, Inc. of Boonville. Clarence is survived by one brother, Howard P. (Ruth) Cutter, Redland, CA, two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Nellenback, West Leyden and Mrs. Carol Hartnett, Rome, a sister in law, Dolores Cutter, Orlando, FL, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews. Butch was predeceased by his father in 1985 and by his mother in 2004, by a brother, Donald. His family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the 2nd floor extended care facility for their excellent care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Thursday, May 16 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary's Church, Constableville, where Rev. Lawrence Marullo, pastor will officiate. There are no calling hours. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Constableville. Memorial contributions may be made to Constableville Fire Co. or to Boonville Elks Lodge.
