~~Boonville- Clara May Munn, 80, of Bailey Road, widow of Otis, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at St. Lukes Memorial Hospital, New Hartford. Clara was born in Constableville, on June 10, 1937, a daughter of Delos and Marian Morrison Thayer. She grew up near Talcottville, receiving her education at the one room Barrets Corners School, completing her education through 12th grade at Boonville Central School. On October 15, 1956, Clara was united in marriage with John L. Rudd, in Talcottville, afterwards settling on a dairy farm on Rt. 12D, which they operated for many years. Mr. Rudd passed away on October 21, 1971. On February 3, 1973, Clara was united in marriage with Otis Munn, Jr. in the Town of Trenton. For many years thereafter the couple operated the Munn Dairy Farm on Rt. 12D, north of Talcottville. Mr. Munn, a retired truck driver passed away on February 10, 2008. Clara May will be fondly remembered for great the variety of delicious homemade pies for which she was famous for making and sharing with others. She also enjoyed many types of crafts and making babys blankets and lawn ornaments. Clara is survived by her children; Ken (Deb) Rudd, Town of Leyden, Mona (Enrique) Mota, Dominican Republic, David (Irene) Rudd, Town of Leyden, Keith (Sarah) Rudd, Pearland, TX, Randy (Diane) Rudd, Constableville; her step children, Tim (Bertha) Munn, Boonville, Gloria (Dave) Kessler, South Carolina, James(Carol) Munn, Town of Leyden and Melanie (Faanati) Mapuoletuli, North Carolina; her daughter in law, Esther Kilbourn; many grandchildren, great grandchildren. She was predeceased a son, Dana Rudd, on June 12, 2007, a daughter, Donna Lalone, October 30, 2010; a grandson, John McCoy Rudd, June 14, 2002 and a step son, Dale Egnew. Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Bowen, Connecticut and Florence Farr, Port Leyden and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Phil George and Ray Howard, Ruth Gillette, Jenny (Chick) Ridgeway, Myrtle Hunkins and Robert Thayer. Graveside Services will be held at Talcottville Cemetery on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at 12:30 P.M., where Rev. Donald Karlen, a retired priest from Christ Our Hope Catholic Community of Boonville, and a close family friend, will officiate. Calling hours are Saturday, August 26, from 10:00 A.M. until 12 Noon at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
