Kayuta Lake- Clara L. (Beach) Jenny, 88, widow of Richard J. passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015, at her residence, while surrounded by the loving care of her family. She was born in Utica, on May 12, 1926, a daughter of Clayton A. and Pearl C. Denslow Beach. Clara grew up in Utica, where she graduated from Utica Free Academy with the Class of 1944. Thereafter she attended Utica Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, receiving her Registered Nurse Degree. Mrs. Jenny was employed for many years as a Registered Nurse in the Nursery at St. Lukes Memorial Hospital, New Hartford, retiring in 1986. On December 30, 1950, Clara was united in marriage with Richard J. Jenny, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Utica. After that the couple lived in south Utica; in 1975, they moved to their present home on Kayuta Lake. Mr. Jenny, a US Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict Era, and manager of Mohawk Valley Oil Co. Marcy, died on June 2, 1985. Mrs. Jenny was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Forestport. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and wood crafts. She also enjoyed watching her grandson, David, operate the locomotive on the Mohawk Adirondack & Northern Railroad, from Utica to Boonville. Clara is survived by three sons and daughters in law, Richard W. (Peggy) Jenny, Middle Grove, NY, James M. (Mary) Jenny, Remsen, and Robert K. (Cynthia) Jenny, Piseco, NY; two daughters, Judy Ladlee, Remsen and Jacqueline Jenny, Remsen; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson Christopher Ladlee, in 1982, and by a son in law, Jerry Ladlee, in 2011. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial, on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at St. Patrick's Church, Forestport, with interment to follow in Port Leyden Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church Forestport, in care of Christ our Hope Catholic Community, 110 Charles St. Boonville, NY 13309. Her arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
