Boone, NC- Christopher Charles Merry, Jr., formerly of Boonville, passed away suddenly on September 19, 2022 of natural causes, at his residence in Boone, North Carolina.
Christopher was born in Watertown, on January 21, 1982, a son of Christopher Charles Merry, Sr., and Beverly Reynolds Merry. He grew up in Ava and later in Boonville, receiving his education at West Leyden Elementary School and at Adirondack High School, Boonville. While in high school, Christopher enjoyed playing on the Varsity Football team.
Later Christopher earned his GED and while living in Boonville, he was employed at the Buffalo Head Restaurant, Enchanted Forest Water Safari, Old Forge and at Pallet City, Rome.
In 2009, Christopher relocated from Watertown to Wise, Virginia, where he earned his Emergency Medical Technician certificate and was a firefighter and EMT for the Dungannon, Virginia Municipal Fire Department.
In 2011 Christopher married Peggy Derring.
While residing in the Boonville area, he attended the Boonville Alliance Church.
Christopher is survived by three daughters; Dallas, Jade and Reagan, all in Wisconsin; his father, Christopher and stepmother Mary Merry, Boonville, his mother, Beverly Reynolds, state of Maine; brothers, Michael Merry, Markus Merry, William Merry, Matthew Maine and Andrew Merry; two sisters, Belinda Bosschaart, Jessica Merry and his wife, Peggy, Wise, VA and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with Rev. David Hedeen, Pastor of Boonville Alliance Church officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the service.
Donations of food may be dropped off at the Boonville Alliance Church on Friday from 10:00 am on.
