Russia - Charles F. Clover, 75, of State Rte. 365, husband of Caroline, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 12, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. He was born in Boonville on May 9, 1938, a son of Leon A. and Roberta M. Genther Clover. He grew up in Marcy, and was educated through the Whitesboro School System. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, and was honorably discharged in April 1962. After the Navy he attended Mohawk Valley Community College of Utica, where he received a degree in welding. After retirement he was employed as a bus driver for Birnie Bus Co. of Utica. On August 19, 1967, Charles was united in marriage with Caroline Beecher in Utica. In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters: Jean Jones, Frankfort, Teresa (Jonathan) Decker, Remsen, Elizabeth Clover, Frankfort; and one son Michael (Carrie) Clover, Forestport. He was predeceased by a son Charles L. Clover. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Nathan, Kayla, Kade, Austin, Kendall and Jonathan; two sisters: May L. Clover and Eileen Twiss; three nieces Kelly (William) Gooch, Virginia McKee, and Myrna (Corey) Crane. He is also survived by his feline friend Garfield. Charles loved hunting, fishing, and a good western movie. He was a kind hearted person, who loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In keeping with Charles wishes all services will be held privately at the convenience of his family. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Constableville. His arrangements have been entrusted to the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial donations may be made to the Stevens-Sawn Humane Society, 5664 Horatio St., Utica, NY 13502. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the SICU and First Floor nursing staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, and Dr. Thomas Certo, for the compassionate care given to Charles.
