Charlene Vernice Capron

Boonville - Charlene V. Addington Capron, 83, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at home with her family by her side. She was born on August 13, 1938 in Rome, NY, a daughter of Charles and Ora Williamson Addington. She received her education at Sauquoit Valley School, Sauquoit, NY. She married William W. Ostrander, Jr. on January 7, 1956. He passed away in September 1957. She then moved to Boonville, NY with her son to be near her family. On March 6, 1959 she married Earl L. Hines, he passed away in July 1962. Then on November 28, 1964 she married William F. LaQuay, they divorced in 1989. She then married Maynard Capron on May 18, 1991. She worked for Hubert "Slim" Cole at Slim's Restaurant, and Sargents Chair and Stool Factory, both in Boonville. She also worked for Ruth's Diner, Remsen, Square Stamp in Barneveld, and finally for Bendix/Lucas Aero-Space in Utica, retiring after 22 years of service in 2000. In addition to her husband Maynard, she is survived by her children: William W. Ostrander, III of Oklahoma, Susan Hines Fristik (Wayne) of Sangerfield, NY, Gordon Earl Hines of North Carolina, Tracy LaQuay Iseneker (Hubie) of Georgia, a very dear special niece and caregiver Cheryl Addington Burdick, Boonville. Also her step-daughters Laurie Capron (Roy) of Ohio, and Wendy Capron (Danny) of North Carolina, sister-in-law Maggie Addington, Boonville, brother Curtis Addington, Boonville, and sister Kay Dority of North Carolina, 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by three brothers: Richard, Alan, and John Addington, and granddaughter Brandi Hines. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 20, at 10:30 am at Joslin Cemetery, Boonville. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Charlene's family extends a heartfelt note of gratitude to the volunteers of the Boonville Ambulance for their compassionate care through the years. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boonville Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box #164, Boonville, New York 13309.
