Remsen - Carol A. Esch, 72, of Remsen, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 27, 2018. Born on July 26, 1946 in Colchester, England, she attended Nacton Rd. School in Ipswich. Carol married the love of her life, Brian A. Esch, on May 9, 1964 in Ipswich, England. In 1967, they moved to Amarillo, TX, and upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1969 settled in upstate NY. They lived in the Rome area for many years until retiring to their log home in Remsen. Carols Mum, Daphne, joined them in 1973 and became a U.S. citizen to be closer to her daughter and family. Carol was a loving daughter, wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, cousin, Godmother, and friend. She welcomed all with her kindness, laughter, and charming English accent into her home and life. She was a talented floral designer and crafter, specializing in seasonal wreaths. Her home always looked like a page from a magazine. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching old movies and Denver Broncos Football, collecting dolls, lighthouses, and loons, and Adirondack camping trips with her family; especially at Stillwater Reservoir. Carol and Brian traveled often to the coast of Maine, so she could be by the ocean like her childhood days in England. Carol is predeceased by her loving parents, Leonard and Daphne (Benneworth) Bardey of Ipswich, England, and her beloved husband of 49 years, Brian A. Esch of Remsen, and her angelic infant son Andrew, Davids twin brother. Carol is survived by three cherished sons and their spouses: Richard and Eileen (Daskiewich) Esch of Forestport, NY, David Esch Miranda and Victor Miranda of Portland, OR; and Steven and Julie (Bovey) Esch of Kennebunkport, ME. Four beautiful, adored granddaughters that filled her heart with joy and always made her smile: Lauren and Madison Esch of Forestport, NY, Sophia and Isabel Esch of Kennebunkport, ME; her loving brother, Terry Bardey of Clacton on Sea, England; Aunt Rosemary Benneworth; cousins: Brian and Paul Benneworth, Jayne Flory, and Susan Van Gool, all of Ipswich, England. Also surviving are brother and sisters-in-law: James and Delores Esch of Rome, NY; Paul and Lisa Esch of Verona, NY; and David and MaryAnne Esch of Barneveld, NY; nieces, nephews, friends, and her beautiful, much loved dog Cloey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
