Bruce D. Woodcock

Morrisville- Bruce D. Woodcock, 65, husband of Sharon, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at his residence while surrounded by the loving care of his wife, family and hospice. Bruce was born in Rome, on January 8, 1956, a son of Eugene A. and Doris M. Merchant Woodcock. He grew up in the Camden area, where he received his education, graduating from Camden High School, with the Class of 1974. While in high school Bruce enjoyed and was highly successful at wrestling, participating on the Blue Devils Varsity Wrestling Team. On November 17, 1979, Bruce was united in marriage with Sharon M. Nellenbach at St. Mary's Nativity Church, West Leyden. After graduation he was employed at Larabee Wire Co., Camden and later at Camden Wire Co. For many years Bruce was employed at Auto Value, Auto Parts Store in Rome. His last employment was in the sales department of the window and door department of Home Depot Store in Clay. Bruce especially enjoyed fishing and woodworking. In addition to his wife, Sharon, Bruce is survived by three children, Paul and Carrie Boyden, Morrisville, Marc and Crystal Woodcock, Camden, and Joe and Katie Rowlands, Morrisville; seven grandchildren, Josh and Danielle Boyden, Doug and Breanne Boyden, Chrissy Boyden, Shelbie Boyden, Shari Rowlands, Jaxon Woodcock and Kyla Woodcock and one great granddaughter, Kayleigh Boyden. He was predeceased by his parents, Eugene A. and Doris M. Woodcock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation hours on Sunday, May 2, from 1-4 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where facial coverings, social distancing and contact tracing will be implemented. Interment at the convenience of his family will be in St. Peter's & Paul's Cemetery Fish Creek.
