Liverpool- Brian H. Menard, 60, of Arlington Circle, formerly of Kotary Road, Fish Creek and before moving to Liverpool, Main St. Boonville, passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 26, 2019, while surrounded by the loving care of his wife, Kathleen, his children and granddaughter. Brian was born in New Hartford, on August 12, 1958, a son of Albert and Eleanor Saladin Menard. He grew up in Whitesboro, where he graduated from Whitesboro High School, with the Class of 1976. While in high school Brian, attended New Hartford BOCES, where he majored in electricity. He was first employed on the custodial staff at Whitesboro High School, before employment at Engel Electric Co., Remsen. Later for thirty eight years, Brian was employed in sales and purchasing for Utica Valley Electric Supply, Inc. of Yorkville. While living in the Fish Creek area, he worked as a private electrician in the West Leyden and Constableville areas. On February 6, 1988, Brian was united in marriage with the love of his life, Kathleen Beha, at St. Marys Nativity Church, West Leyden, where Rev. Charles Cotter, officiated. For many years thereafter the couple lived on Kotary Road, Fish Creek. In 2005, they purchased the former Sanford Pharmacy store on Main St., Boonville, where they had resided until recently relocating to Liverpool. Brian was a Member of St. Marys Church, West Leyden and a former member of St. Peters & Pauls Church, Fish Creek, where he was also manager and caretaker of St. Peters & Pauls Cemetery, for many years. He and Kathy greatly enjoyed camping in the Fish Creek area and more recently in the Finger Lakes area. He and Kathy also greatly enjoyed traveling to Florida, Georgia, Texas, Chicago and Maine and were currently anticipating traveling to each of the 50 United States. He enjoyed the hobby of wood crafting and home renovations. Brian greatly loved his wife and children, grandchildren and family; in addition to his wife, Kathleen, Brian is survived by two daughters and one son, Theresa E. Card, Limestone, ME, Patricia A. (Nick) Gallo, Boonville; Raymond M. (Dr. Kirstie) Menard, Portland, ME; grandchildren, Ryan Card, Trevor Gallo, Alexis Gallo and a great granddaughter, Rilynn. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Barbara (Rod) Westbrook, Deerfield, Lawrence (Diane) Menard, Sauquoit, Mary (Paul) Shaw, Plant City, FL, Nancy Seelman, Turin, Ann (Peter) Croneiser, Big Moose and Karen (Larry) Gilpin, Dover, DE. Services will be on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 10:30 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, and at 11:30 A.M. at St. Marys Nativity Church, West Leyden, where Rev. Lawrence Marullo, pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Fish Creek. Calling hours are Friday, 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
