Boonville- Beverly J. Weiler, 85, of Foxwood Lane, widow of Norbert R., passed away peacefully, while on comfort care, on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Sunset Nursing & rehabilitation Center, Boonville, where had resided since January 4, 2020. Beverly was born in The Town of Russell, (St. Lawrence County), on February 15, 1934, a daughter of John Vernon and Lelah Grimshaw Poole. She grew up in Morristown, NY, where she received her education. Later Beverly was employed at Gould's Motor Co., Watertown and for Handkerchief Manufacturing Co., Norwalk CT. In 1985, she relocated to Boonville, residing on Woodgate Drive. For several years Mrs. Weiler was employed at Lally Manufacturing Co. in Port Leyden and Adams, NY, as a seamstress. Her last employment was as a maid, at The Old Forge Motel. On June 27, 1986, Beverly was united in marriage with Norbert R. Weiler, at Morristown, on the banks of the St. Lawrence River. Mr. Weiler a former logger and employee of the Town of Boonville, passed away on June 25, 2015. Beverly especially enjoyed playing Bingo; she was a member of Tow Path Trekker's running and walking group of Boonville, a member of AARP of Boonville, and a member of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens of Boonville. She also greatly enjoyed riding round trip on the train from Utica, NY to Fresno California and back. Mrs. Weiler is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Hopseker, Boonville; three sons, John V. Callaghan, North Carolina, Roger W. Callaghan, North Carolina, David M. Callaghan, Tennessee and her husband Norbert's children; Timothy (Renda) Weiler, Indiana, Thomas (Betsy) Weiler, New Hampshire, Lorie and Mark Bellinger, Boonville and Julie and Bruce Weigand, Turin; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Beverly was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Burdick and Barbara's daughter, Cindy Lou. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation hours from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. There will be no further services.
