Port Leyden - Beverly D. Kinel, 87, went to be with Our Lord on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, while surrounded by the love and care of her family at the Eastern Star Home, Oriskany. Beverly was born on November 17, 1930 in Boonville, a daughter of Fred and Viola Rudd Kellogg. Following her education she was employed at Lally Manufacturing Co., Port Leyden as a clothing inspector. She was united in marriage with James R. Dailey on March 4, 1951 in Boonville. The couple settled on the Moose River Road in Port Leyden. Mr. Dailey passed away on February 5, 1980. On May 8, 1982 Beverly married Walter F. Kinel at St. Josephs Church, Boonville. Beverly was active in the Port Leyden Senior Citizens group where she volunteered as the head of music and entertainment. She was of the Methodist faith, and was an active member of the Dewey Chapter #449 Order of the Eastern Star, Old Forge. Beverly found the greatest joy in the time she devoted to spending with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Walt, Beverly is survived by two sons, Bruce Dailey, Remsen; Douglas Dailey and his wife, Kathy, Utica; three daughters, Patricia M. Kinel, Lee Center, Linda Hartl and husband, Larry, Carthage, Dawn Rathbun and husband, Jerry, Honolulu, HI. She was predeceased by a daughter, Viola Barrows, June 29, 2014. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; brothers, Russell E. Kellogg, Watertown, Ervin E. (Chris) Kellogg, Leeds, NY, Carl L. Kellogg, Highmarket and Charles (Evelyn) Kellogg, Dickinson, TX. She was predeceased by two sisters, Loretta Hill, and Shirley Joslin and three brothers, Lloyd, Richard and Harold Spike Kellogg. Also surviving is a brother in law, Charles Chuck Joslin, Lowville and several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 A.M. at the Boonville United Methodist Church, Main St., with interment to follow in Port Leyden Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 4-8 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to The Boonville United Methodist Church.
