Boonville- Betty Jane Adams Cook, 90, widow of Robert L. Cook, Sr., passed away May 24, 2020 at The Pines of Utica. She was born June 28, 1929 in Port Leyden to the late Clarence and Nettie Lane Adams. Betty worked for the Nevada Gaming Commission in Carson City, NV, before retiring to Boonville to be closer to family. Her loving husband Robert L. Cook, Sr. predeceased her in July 2017, after 70 years of marriage. In Bob and Betty's younger days they enjoyed dancing; later being adventurous they traveled numerous times back and forth across the country from Boonville to Carson City, NV, always together in their little red car. She is survived by her children: Joan (William) Ramsdale, Thomas Cook, daughter-in-law Mary Cook and Kristine Ramsdale. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Bill Ramsdale deceased (2003), Michelle (Steve) Butler, 4 great-grandchildren Glen and Bethanne Ramsdale and Kayla and Zachary Butler. Betty is predeceased by her sons: Robert L. Cook, Jr., Michael, Franklin and Frederick; two sisters, Irene Gydesen and Thelma Axtell; great-grandsons William Ramsdale, Jr., Alan and Jason Cook. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours no funeral services. Interment will be in Port Leyden Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Her arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
