Constableville- Bertha Mary Muha, 58, of Main St. passed away, after a long illness, in the comfort of her residence on Monday, January 29, 2018. Bertha was born in Constableville, on December 27, 1959, a daughter of John S. and Phyllis A. Ward Muha. She attended Constableville Elementary School, before graduating from South Lewis Senior High School. Thereafter Bertha furthered her education attending Buffalo State University and Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, where she earned an Associate Degree in Computer Technology. In March, 1983, Miss Muha began service to her country entering the US Army. Later she was honorably discharged and served in the Army Reserves until 1989. After serving her country, Bertha was employed in records transcription for Lewis County offices in Lowville and she had also been employed as a waitress. Bertha was a member of St. Marys Church, Constableville. She possessed a kind spirit which extended to her fondness to her feline friends and animals of all kinds. She also greatly enjoyed reading and collecting antiques, In addition to her parents, John and Phyllis Muha, Constableville, she is survived by three brothers, Paul Muha, Boonville, Nathan Muha, Florida and Julian (Lisa) Muha, Boonville; and one nephew, Chad Muha, Florida, and her Godchild, Rachel Leach, Constableville. There will be no visitation hours or services. Memorial contributions may be made to Constableville Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 438, Constableville, NY 13325, or to the Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY 13367.
