Anthony J. Macdowell

June 12, 1994 — October 18, 2024

Anthony J. Macdowell, 30 of Utica N.Y. passed away suddenly on Friday, October 18, 2024. Anthony was born in Torrence, California. His early youth was spent in Garden Grove, California, eventually moving to Boonville N.Y. as a teenager. Anthony graduated from Adirondack Central School where he enjoyed playing football. As a young man Anthony was an active volunteer with his church and youth group volunteering in New Orleans following hurricane Katrina. Anthony loved playing guitar and was a talented artist with a passion for drawing. Later in his life, his love for art led to his career as a tattoo artist.

Anthony is survived by his mother, Jackie Klosner, and stepmother Kathy Klosner, Boonville N.Y.; mother Lisa F. Macdowell, Lewisburg, W. Virginia; two sisters, Jasmine Macdowell, Boonville N.Y., Desiree Macdowell (Corey) Lowville N.Y.; one brother, Ian Macdowell, Boonville N.Y.; grandparents John W. Campbell (Rita) Morgantown, West Virginia; aunt Debbie Peterson (John) Laughlin NV, great aunt Myrtle Delaney-Kipfer, Rome N.Y. great uncle and aunt Norman and Tillie Fey, West Leyden. Anthony was predeceased by his grandmother Judy Wadlow, grandfather Robert Wadlow, grandmother Betty Campbell, and great aunt and uncle Mitzi and Leslie Fey.

Anthony was loved by many. His spirit lives on in our memories. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Your presence is missed, and your memory is treasured.
