Annie Bell Jensen, known as "Nana" by family and "Annie" by friends passed away June 12, 2014 at the age of 90 in her residence in Lowville, New York, after a brief illness. Annie Bell was born on December 11, 1923 in Coconut Grove, Florida. Her parents were Sheldon Pye and Bessie Johnson. Her siblings numbered 7. She was married to Floyd W. Jensen Sr. in January of 1942 in Dade County Florida. They resided in Miami Florida until Floyds death in 1971, after which she traveled a bit, staying in Grants, New Mexico, Durham, North Carolina and finally, Kortenaer Village in Boonville, New York. She was the mother of Floyd W. Jensen Jr. and Virginia Sue Jensen-Metcalf (Virginia is now deceased). She enjoyed many activities and was particularly appreciated for her cooking. She is survived by her son, Floyd Jr. and his wife, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great, great grandchildren thus far. Our family would like to add a special thank you to the Lewis County Residential Care facility in Lowville, and to the 1st floor nursing staff for their outstanding attention to her comfort and care. A memorial will be held in Annie Bell's honor. The time and place is yet to be determined.
