Westernville- Ann J. (Sessions) Boek, 84, formerly of the Stokes-Westernville Road, widow of Millard E., passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, where she had resided since 2012. She was born in Boonville, on May 25, 1932, a daughter of Dewey V. and Alice Williams Sessions. Ann grew up on the Sessions family farm on Buck Hill in the Town of Western. She attended a one room school on Buck Hill, later attending Boonville Central School. For a time Ann was employed at the Rome State School and later at a gift shop in Rome. On July 31, 1948, Ann was united in marriage with Millard E. Boek, at the Boonville Methodist Church Parsonage. This was a blessed union of 60 years, until Mr. Boek, a retired rural letter carrier, passed away on April 11, 2009. After their marriage they settled on the former Draper Farm near Boonville, where they were employed for one year, later they built their lifelong home on the Stokes-Westernville Road in the Town of Western. In the late 1960's the couple purchased and operated a fishing cottage complex at Black Lake in St. Lawrence Co. until the early 1980's. Ann, is survived by three sons: David E., Altmar, Robert L. and his wife, Kathy, Boonville, Richard E. and his wife, Michelle, Rome, five grandchildren; Nicki Christopher, and husband, Glenn, Bridgeport, Stacie and husband Greg Schrider, Cleveland, NY, Eric and wife Leah Boek, Boonville, Brent Boek, Utica, Emily Boek and Mark Martell, Jeffersonville, Vermont, eight great grandchildren; Devin and Kyler Christopher, Wyatt and Levi Boek, Avery Boek, August, Evelyn and Lillian Martell, and one great-great grandchild Landon Christopher. The last of her family, Ann was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph, in 1966, Ronald, in 1981 and Carl, in 2000 and by two sisters, Noreen Murer, in 2011 and Norma Laufer, in 1982. Her Funeral will be on Friday, at 7:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where calling hours will be from 4 p.m. until the services. Interment will be in Westernville Cemetery later this spring.
