Boonville - Angeline (Dorn) Lord, 96, a longtime resident of Charles Street, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, where she had resided since 2001. She was born on October 9, 1913 at the Dorn family homestead farm on the Dorn Road near Boonville. Angeline attended the Dorn District Rural School and for many years was employed as a midwife at the White Maternity Home in Boonville. On January 20, 1951, Angeline was united in marriage with Kelsey Lord at St. Josephï¿(TM)s Church, Boonville. The couple made their home on the Dorn Road, eventually moving to the village in the 1960ï¿(TM)s. For twenty years until her retirement in the mid-seventies, Mrs. Lord was employed at a seamstress at the former Boontex Co.in Boonville. Mr. Lord, a retired NYS DOT employee at Alder Creek died on November 7, 1984. Angeline was an active member of St. Josephï¿(TM)s Church, Boonville, and the church Altar and Rosary Society. She will always be remembered for her kind and loving heart. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Ian Adam of Barneveld. Her world was centered on her two grandchildren, Shawn Adam of Barneveld, and Jennifer Adam of Surprise, AZ. Angeline is also survived by several nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces. The last of her family, she was predeceased by brothers Louis and Charles Dorn, and by a sister, Emma Brown. The family would like to express their gratitude to all the employees and volunteers at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center who took exceptional care of her while she resided there. Prayer services are Wednesday, July 14, at 9:45 a.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Josephï¿(TM)s Church, Boonville, where Rev. Sean Patrick Oï¿(TM)Brien will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Josephï¿(TM)s Cemetery, Boonville. Visitation is Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
