Boonville- Angela Cady, 82, of 115 South St., widow of Jack and a former resident of Potato Hill Road, near Boonville, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019, at the Abraham House of Rome. Angela was born in Rome, on February 6, 1937, where she grew up and graduated from Rome Free Academy, with the Class of 1955. On August 6, 1955, Angela was united in marriage with John W. Jack Cady, at St. John the Baptist Church, Rome. Thereafter for several years the couple resided in Rome, before moving to Lowville and later relocating to Potato Hill Road, Boonville, where they resided for many years. In 1982, Jack and Angela established Angies Family Pizzeria and Restaurant on South State St. Lowville. In 1985, the couple purchased the former Friendly Tavern on Route 12 near Boonville, establishing Angies Family restaurant, a well-known eatery featuring Italian and American Cuisine. They sold their Lowville restaurant in 1987 and their Boonville restaurant in the mid 1990s. Mr. Cady, a veteran of the Korean War era and longtime salesman of newspaper advertising, passed away on April 17, 2013. In 2016, Angela moved to her present home at Kortenaer Village, Boonville. Mrs. Cady was a member of St. Josephs Church, Boonville, where she a former Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens of Boonville and the XYZ Senior Citizens of Remsen. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ann Cady, Milford, NH; one son and daughter-in-law, David J. and Karen D. Cady, Boonville; four grandchildren, Joseph and Jason Guelfi and Elijah Markey, all of Milford, NH, Christopher Cady, Rome, two great grandchildren, Jackson Guelfi and Mia Guelfi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, November 27, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Josephs Church, Boonville, where Rev. Thomas A. Ward, pastor will officiate. Interment will be in St. Josephs Cemetery, Boonville. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Abraham House Hospice, 417 North Washington St. Rome, NY 13440. Her funeral arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Boonville.
