Adirondack High School Teacher, Mickey Fauvelle, recalls his memories of Coach DeSetto:
My varsity baseball coach, the most successful in school history, Andy DeSetto, passed away last week. In the three years I played for him, our teams went 46-9, won two Intervalley League titles, had an undefeated regular season and made a historic run to a 1986 state title game. In light of the success on the field, Coach DeSetto was one of the most genuine and kindest individuals I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. The game of baseball was always fun with Coach DeSetto. His calm demeanor and willingness to allow players to play free from expectation became a perfect recipe that led to great success. My days on the ACS baseball bus with Coach DeSetto were some of the funnest and care free days I’ve ever had playing and coaching in a lifetime involved in sports. My condolences go out the DeSetto family.
