Andrew Shane Knollman, 29, of Hillsboro, OR, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025. He was born on June 1, 1995 in New Hartford, NY to parents Cammie and Andrew Knollman.

Andrew is also survived by his 2 year old son, Alonzo Andrew Knollman who was the light of his life; his partner, Maria Fernanda Mendoza-Chico of Hillsboro, OR; his sister Amanda (Kenneth) and nephews Jonah and Myles Goldberg of Livermore, CA; his maternal grandmother Rosemary Szarka (Larry Wielen) of Ocala, FL; his paternal grandfather, John Knollman (Carolyn) of Lowville, NY and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother Kathleen Fitzgerald and grandfather Patrick Fitzgerald; and his maternal grandfather Steven Szarka.

Andrew was a 2013 graduate of Beaver River Central High School. He was named to the Dean’s List at Buffalo State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree graduating in 2021. He found great reward in his time teaching at Imagine Desert West Elementary School where he was recognized for his capabilities in enriching the lives of his students.

Andrew had a tender heart and much compassion for those in need. He enjoyed music and sharing laughter with loved ones. His smile could light up a room. He was artistic and creative, especially talented at drawing and writing. So proud of his son, he taught him many things, but most importantly unconditional love and celebrated his victories and milestones along the way. He treasured the time with Fernanda and Alonzo. His young family meant the world to him. Andrew was a light in all of our lives, was so loved and will forever be missed.
