Constableville- Alison Jo (Paluck) Brinkerhoff, 68, a lifelong resident of Crofoot Hill Road and wife of Joseph R. Brinkerhoff, passed away at her residence on Thursday, October 24, 2024, while surrounded by the loving care of her family and hospice.
Alison was born in Constableville, on June 28, 1956, a daughter of Isadore and Lillian Pauline Korman Paluck. She received her education at Constableville Elementary School and graduated from South Lewis High School, with the Class of 1975. Alison was first employed for the Alpine Restaurant, Constableville, followed by Law Bros. Construction Co., Lyons Falls. In 1990, Alison and Joseph founded J.B. Painting Co., of Constableville, which specialized in residential and commercial indoor and outdoor painting. In addition to the operation of their painting business, she also operated a hobby farm, raising beef cattle, at their residence. Her last employment was as a sales associate for Nice and Easy Convenient Stores, Constableville.
On December 31, 1993, Alison was united in marriage with Joseph R. Brinkerhoff at their residence, near Constableville.
Alison was an active member of St. Mary’s church, Constableville, where she was a religious education teacher for twenty-eight years. For many years she enjoyed bowling on the Sullivan’s Service Station bowling team, at the Constableville Bowling Alley and she was also chairperson for the children’s bowling team, from Constableville, to raise funds for St. Jude’s Children Hospital. In addition, Allison enjoyed gardening and her hobby farm. Most of all she greatly enjoyed being her grandchildren’s number 1 fan and cheerleader when attending their sporting events.
In addition to her husband, Alison is survived by a daughter, Tabitha J. Brinkerhoff, Constableville; grandsons, Matteo Brinkerhoff, Evan Brinkerhoff and a granddaughter, Arica Brinkerhoff; siblings, Cynthia Kelly, William (Carol) Paluck, Elaine Paluck (Joe DiNardo), Timothy Paluck and Theresa Garnsey, all of Constableville; brothers and sisters in law, Lynn and Diane Brinkerhoff, Port Leyden, Sara and Mark Pavlica, Salisbury, MD, Marion Brinkerhoff, Daytona Beach, FL, Ruth Ann Brinkerhoff, New Smyrna Beach, FL and Samuel and Melinda Brinkerhoff, Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was predeceased by her father, Isadore Paluck, on September 21, 2024 and by her mother, Lillian Pauline Paluck, on January 24, 2022 and by a sister in law, Peggy Moran and a brother in law, Lawrence Brinkerhoff, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Daniel Chapin, on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, Constableville, with interment to follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Constableville. Calling hours are Sunday 2-5 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Constableville Fire Department, P.O.
