Boonville - Alice P. (Hoage) Morin, 84, of South Street. passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford after a brief illness. She was born at Steuben Corners, on May 29, 1925, a daughter of Charles and Alma Lena (Ritter) Hoage. She grew up in Steuben Corners, attended school there and later moved with her family to the hamlet of Bethel, near Alder Creek. She graduated from Boonville High School with the Class of 1943. Mrs. Morin was employed for twenty-one years as a spray gun operator in the finishing department at Boonville Division of Ethan Allen Furniture Company. She was then employed for five years at Boonville DDSO. She lived with her sister, Doris Williamson, in Constableville before moving to Kortenaer Village in Boonville. Mrs. Morin attended Boonville United Methodist Church, and she greatly enjoyed sewing, painting, artistic woodburning and many kinds of crafts. Alice served as President of Kortenaer Village Residence Community for several years, and enjoyed calling and playing bingo at Kortenaer Village. Alice is survived by twin daughters, Diana Lynn Golden and husband, David, and Debbie Lee Patrick and husband, Robert, all of Boonville; three grandchildren, Ginger Velez of AZ, Melanie Hastwell and Scott Dailey, both of Boonville; two step grandchildren, Jerry Golden and Brandy Sykes Golden, both of Boonville; and a sister, Fern Watson of Alexandria Bay. She was predeceased by three sisters, Doris Williamson, Lorraine Hoage, and Pearl Hulse. Her funeral will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville, where Rev. William A. Mudge, pastor of the Boonville United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation is Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, c/o Oneida County Office for the Aging, Oneida County Office Building, 800 Park Avenue, Utica, NY 13501.
